Last weekend Grandpa Mike came to see me. He brought me the coolest outfit all the way from Greece! I won't be big enough to wear it for a little while, but I'm absolutely going to rock it when I do. I can't wait! He brought me a blessing for my doorpost too. It's like the mezusah on Aunt Ellen's door but it's just for me. Daddy's going to put it up this weekend and I can't wait to see it outside my room. Thanks Grandpa and Nana!

He was nice enough to hang around for my bedtime routine. First I got my bottle and then my bath and then he sat with me while we read my bedtime stories and he kissed me goodnight. It was super fun and I can't wait to see him next weekend.

He even played "stand up" with me, that's my favorite game!

He took lots of great pictures of me, he's teaching Mommy lots about pictures and how to hold the camera. Here's one of my doing my second favorite thing .. first is playing "stand up" but second to that is chewing on my fingers! You can see that it's best combined with bathtime.. two great tastes that taste great together.

Here's my first Christmas entry, I know it's long past due but better late than never, eh? I was a very lucky girl, I got to see so many friends and family and I got lots of hugs! I got toys too, lots of toys! I got wonderful books and more of that apricot oil I like so much and stacking rings and Daddy got me a fantastic book full of fun stuff I can do when I'm just a little bigger. But the best part was getting to play with people. Here I am playing with Uncle Joe. He let me play with his shirt and his glasses and even "walk" on his lap.

Here I am playing with Grandpa V. He lays on the floor with me and just lets me play with his nose and his shirt and roll into him. It's so fun! We have lots of fun just playing "stand up" and "lay down" and "pull on Grandpa's shirt"... those are some of my favorite games.

Here I am playing with Grammy and Uncle Greg. Grammy and I were talking about the baking we're going to do when I'm older (and have teeth!) when Uncle Greg came by and I saw the strings for his hood. Who doesn't like playing with strings!? So I grabbed them and pulled on them for a while. Hours of fun, I tell ya!

And last, here I am playing with the tree we had at home. Mommy and Daddy let me lay there and stare at it for hours but my favorite thing to do was to pull my ornament from Alex off and hold it in my hands. It's a snowflake and it was all shiny in the lights. Mommy says next year we'll hang the soft ornaments on the bottom and bolt the tree to the floor. Why would she want to spoil all my fun??

I am FIVE MONTHS OLD! I'm an old lady now. I told Daddy that I should be allowed to drive and vote. I reminded him that the primary elections are coming up in Maryland and he and I could carpool together. He didn't seem to think that would be a good idea. Oh, well. Soon enough, I suppose. I thought it would be fun to put up a progression of how big I'm getting. The first picture is me at one month old. The second is me at three months old, and then the last one is me at five months. I'll have long since outgrown that bunny before long!

And look how straight and tall I'm sitting lately! Don't tell, but I'm still using the sofa to prop myself up a bit. I can sit for a few seconds but I'm not sitting up really straight and I tend to fall over. Mommy says it's coming soon, though. But she says she wouldn't be surprised to find me crawling and standing before I master sitting. She and Daddy let me hold on to a box and stand up the other day and I stood for five whole seconds!

I'm a total pro at rolling now and no matter what position I start out the night sleeping in I always end up on my side like Mommy and Daddy. I'm drooling a lot, and everyone says I might be teething. Mommy rubbed her fingers over my gums and couldn't really feel anything, but I took the opportunity to gnaw on her fingers a bit so who knows. I'm due to start cereal the week of Valentine's day, Daddy and Mom say that bananas, squash, and avocados can't be far behind. Mommy's been working hard making my food and freezing it so it'll be all ready for my gourmet palate. Do you think I should have a red wine or a white to go with my mashed bananas?

I'll save the rest of the updates for the next post. I wanted to say thank you for the comments, Mommy always reads them to me and I giggle and smile. Here's one last picture of me from my five month photo shoot, I felt like a model! Here I am demonstrating my new fine motor skills by untying the bow on the bunny's ear. I probably followed that up by putting it in my mouth, everything's better when it goes in my mouth!

And in the last one? Well, I just can't help but giggle sometimes and this is proof.

HI! Ok, I've got tons of updates to do, I know. It took Mommy forever to get all the new pictures off the camera so I could update about Christmas and New Years and how I'm five months old now! But while we're busy working on those updates I wanted to let you all see my new hat. Mommy says it's pretty cool and Daddy says that when someone wears a hat like this you know she's not afraid of anything. I think he might be mocking me. All I know is that it keeps my ears warm and it doesn't cover my face when I turn my head. Whee!

Admit it, I'm seriously cute!
